As with every other tool, combined with human nature, it all depends on the individual.
Human nature, well all of nature for that matter, gravitates towards the easiest (least effort) route. You don't see the lion hitting the gym to get sick gains. No, they will sit and/or prowl and take down the weakest in the group, then go back to sitting and/or prowling. We humans have the same instincts - take the easy way. We call it laziness and it can be seen across the entire spectrum of our race.
Those that want to make an impact on the world, who desire success and can clearly define what success is, those are the people that go through the pain to get the gains. And with AI coming to the mix, these are the ones who will utilize the tool to augment their gains for even more gains.
And we will forever have the people on the left and on the right shouting that all of this is wrong. But, then again, how much effort does it take to tell someone else they are wrong then go back to drinking beer in the Laz-Y-Boy?

That is the question. Sadly, technocrats never have time for questions. They focus only on novelty, racing always to find the next great novelty first.
