Will Japan Become The Next Big Military Superpower?

I don't think that Japan has either the economy or the demographics to support a modern military, at least not to the level of a superpower. Their birthrate is so low that their population is declining and that fact not only precludes the staffing of a military worthy of a superpower but also precludes the kind of economy needed to pay for one.
