While top scientists from around the world point to data that says the drier rangeland climate found west of the 100th Meridian has shifted east in the last three decades, those living and farming in eastern South Dakota feel they are seeing the opposite: A wetter weather pattern.

Last year was really wet. Weeds overran my place and I kept planning on mowing them, but it kept raining. By the time to dried out, the weeds were 3-4 foot high. Had a tough time mowing that.
By the way. some of the best sweet corn in the state is raised right on the western border, around Bell Fourche.
