On November 17, 2016 it was reported that General Michael Flynn would be appointed as National Security Advisor by President-elect Donald Trump. General Flynn was appointed by President Obama to lead the DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency) in July 2012.
General Flynn's military career was primarily operational, with numerous combat arms, conventional and special operations senior intelligence assignments. He also served as the senior intelligence officer for the Joint Special Operations Command. Flynn is a published author, with articles appearing in Small Wars Journal, Military Review, Joint Forces Quarterly and other military and intelligence publications. He is a graduate of the Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course, Military Intelligence Officer Advanced Course, Army Command and General Staff College, the School of Advanced Military Studies, and Naval War College.

Now I want to see him hire some of the other Generals, President Obama has fired, into the Service Secretary Positions. Imagine that, a Secretary of the Air Force who is more concerned about Airman and protecting the United States than pandering to the Social Justice Warriors. OK, that's probably a little harsh but its not that far off the mark.

Good career and an intelligent choice. I posted an article about questions concerning him receiving briefings while being part of a company which provided intelligence info and consultancy. Hopefully those things are not intertwined and this will be but a blimp on the radar.

I have read that General Flynn was criticized by his peers when he traveled to Moscow last year and was photographed alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin at a gala. Flynn admitted he was paid to make the trip and defended it. He said he used the trip to press Putin’s government to behave more responsibly in international affairs.

I have no problems with any means to get information to save American lives. I know many will think it is wrong and unjustified but American military lives are at stake. So in my opinion it's justified! So before anyone jumps me for my opinion, remember it's only my opinion. And I respect your disagreement!
