When Freddie Gray died in Baltimore in 2015 police were condemned and got no support from the politicians. Police moral plummeted. Police pulled back to preserve their lives and jobs. Studies indicated this lead to a spike in crime. Will history is repeating itself. Here we are after George Floyd dies in police custody in Minneapolis. City officials vote to defund police. City officials provide no support to police. Crime skyrockets and people wonder where the police are. These folks simply aren’t the best and brightest!

Just today, the Minneapolis Police Department elected to stop negotiating with the proposed site of the new 3rd Precinct building (replacing the one that was badly damaged on night three of riots).
This was celebrated by locals as a "victory".
I'm guessing the businesses in the area would disagree with that, and many are voting with their feet.
