If you want universal care, then you must be prepared for the universal tax that is required to provide the care.
This has always been the pain point.

LTC (Join to see) - I like that Bernie is pushing California to adopt it.

I'm totally on board with CA doing this. The states are said to be incubators of innovation. Let's see what this incubator gives birth to. C'mon Jerry, show us how it's done.

I agree that the States are the right place in our system of government to undertake this action. I did read in the article how the State had concerns about the Federal Government and Trump. So, I don't know if that was a link to Medicare that the State would use in figuring out total cost to the State vs the Federal Government.

The problem with Universal Care as I see it, is there is no sanction for those to choose to live an unhealthy life and take risks with their health and well being, they are charged the same premium and get the same care as those that eat and live healthy. That is a basic problem with it and why it will always be the most expensive option of all the options.

You hit the nail on the head. But, Politicians are busy vilifying your view. This is the State vs the Individual. Democrats know they can't allow a strong individual to exist without the aid of the State. So, we will hear that millions will die, ect from the Democrats and the MSM. Who wins in the end? The medical health care industries that get business pushed to them via politicians that are bought and paid for by the medical industry. We the People need to figure this cycle out and be responsible for our lives.

LTC (Join to see) - Fewer and fewer are listening to the Democrats anymore, in my view. We could very easily end up with a massive majority in both the House and the Senate after 2018. My confidence is increasing that will happen because typically takes the Democrats about 10-12 years to recover from a loss like the last election. They go through a clueless period for the first presidential election, then field a dumb candidate for the second presidential election by the third presidential election they usually field someone competitive. So Trump easily has two terms here in the Oval Office if he wants that.......not sure if he will run a second term yet.

SPC Erich Guenther - I'd temper exceptions with reality. Mr. Trump does not need the Republican Party and both sides know this. The Establishment on both sides (R&D) are now against Trump. So its Trump with his supporters against everyone else. I'd be careful of the Republicans and their desire to hold onto power and turn on Trump every chance they get.
