Woman charged with murder in girlfriend's death, Rock Hill police say

If the woman charged hadn't brought the gun, Nobody would be dead. She enabled the entire scenario to play out as it did. The woman that was killed failed in the most basic of gun safety rules, Don't pull it out unless you mean to pull the trigger, and the shooter was was acting in self defense. Whatever was going on between the the dead woman ond the man was between them and the 3rd party didn't have any business getting in the middle.

SGT (Join to see) that is dangerously close to the logic the gun grabbers use to ban guns.

The lady who brought the gun did not pull the gun. She supplied the gun. Are gun dealers responsible for the crimes that people use their guns for?

Yes, I know that this lady was not a gun dealer. And yes, there is a large difference between the two. But blaming this lady for the actions of her friend is, IMHO, the wrong plan.

If this lady had, instead of supplying a gun, started cheering her friend on saying "kick his ass!" And the friend was accidentally killed in a fistfight while the guy was defending himself, would THAT be murder?


Only one person is responsible for the dead lady pulling a gun. The dead lady.

Charges of unlawfully supplying the gun or even something like reckless endangerment, I could see. Murder? Not so much.

SGT (Join to see) What we don't know is: Did the woman charged push her friend into taking the the gun, and then being that voice in the background telling her it's all ok to use it. You know, an instagator. If I was somewhere with a friend and trouble came his way, it would be me defending the friend if action was necessary.
