I recommend people learn your rights under hippa and beware under certain circumstances the VA will engage in experimenting on you without your individual consent.
I know longer go to the VA because of its LGBT policies and that it is experimenting on Veterans that meet the specific definition of being transsexual.
You can easily see that they are by reading the VA transgender hormone guidelines. You can also see it because active duty personnel are being provided services all the way sex reassignment surgery while veterans are being denied sex reassignment coverage.
That in a nutshell is illegal human experimentation being conducted by the VA in conjunction with the DOD against people who meet the definition of being transsexual.

I sympathize with your position. I intelligently can read about this new area of transgender/sex reassignment and the challenges. I can't empathize because I cannot experience the challenges. I can say in light of the individual impact on you, I understand your position and your decision not to get care at the VA. I sincerely hope you have found a resource you trust to care for needs and concerns, as well as a good support system for your holistic well being. The nuanices surrounding how the DOD and the VA handle this issue is certainly above my pay grade and yours. So let us hope there are some very intelligent people in place to restructure and redefine elements that can reasonably work. Your big eared baby is so cute standing at your side. I am for VA using neutral language and providing adequate care for everyone.
I believe as Veterans our job of defending individual rights never ends.
It should be especially shameful for both the VA and DOD working in harmony together to use both active duty and veterans as counters to each other for an experiment.
