If that Corvette had a 4-speed that's six-cylinder so would have been pretty fast. I had a 2 speed automatic in my 1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme two-door hardtop with a 330 V8 and it could only manage about a 10 second 0 to 60. I put in a turbo 350 automatic 3 speed and the time went down to 8.5 seconds. That is still a slow time but that's not bad for a V8 that had over 100,000 miles on it.

Pretty good LTC (Join to see). Do you do the same stats in your UPS truck? I miss my 67 Camaro I bought after Nam.

SFC William Farrell - UPS stats on a truck my guess is 0 - 30 in 8 Seconds and if they could do 0 to 60 maybe and 18. I'm guessing. I used to have a twin turbo diesel the right now I have a non turbo diesel so it's really underpowered.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on June 28, 1953 workers at a Chevrolet plant in Flint, Michigan, assembled the first Corvette, a two-seater sports car that would become an American icon. The first completed production car rolled off the assembly line two days later, one of just 300 Corvettes made that year.
