Not all that sure of it. Let me see if I can explain this right. I think talking about my husband's Fusion might do the trick. So, my husband was in Germany as a civilian contractor, He wanted to buy a car, and he chose a Ford... American built, reasonable price, and nice look. He waits a month. It arrives. An American Ford, made with parts from Canadian car parts, put together in Mexico, shipped from Texas to Germany.... but its an American car, thru and thru.
Now, with the next round, there should be some steel mills open in this country again, that will be creating, not just importing parts, and maybe.... just maybe, we might be putting those parts together in this country instead of Mexico. Either way, the parts, if you buy them from the right place, should be as reasonable as they are now, or we might all end up driving around in our new American cars, put together by Canadians from parts made all over the place....
