World War I: When northern France was on German time - France 24

Long forgotten history. I have been watching Apocalypse WWII and that show discussed much of this especially the denial of coal to the French under occupation.

Reminds me of when I had to explain to my Dad that his Beloved German Great Grandfather Miller was not born in Germany. He was convinced that Alsace Lorraine was in Germany. (I told Him "Maybe at one time, Not Now, It is France).
