I didn't realize UNC, Emory, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Columbia had already implemented similar measures. That's funny. Students can still call each other freshmen and whatever but it's still funny.
"The University of North Carolina struck the word “freshman” from its official documents in 2009, with the University of Emory following suit in 2015. Dartmouth College, Cornell University and Columbia University also use the term “first year” in most official publications."

Will they be replacing the terms Junior and Senior as well??? Sounds like ageism to me. Of course we don't want sophomores to feel left out, so who wants to be offended by the term sophomore???
