I've had 2 cars on this list (Honda Accord, Ford Explorer). Both of them were great vehicles. These days, as long as you do regular maintenance, they will do you well. My favorite, though, was the Accord. Great car, great gas mileage...

Ya, always a factor to keep in mind. Also, I had a '02 Altima, pristine and ran like a charm but got "T Boned" last fall. Cost to repair too much, so it got totaled, something to keep in mind if you finance an older vehicle.
