Zeppelin! - The Louisville Leopard Percussionists

I posted this about a year ago, I think, but saw it again today. Besides the cool music, looking at this as an ex-teacher of at risk and emotionally disturbed kids, there are some interesting things going on here. This is not a prosperous set of kids. Oversized, baggy, faded, stained clothes, and a lot of homemade haircuts and hair that hasn’t been washed/brushed lately. Several kids look like they live pretty rough, school breakfast and lunch may be a big part of their food intake. It’s after dark, this is an evening program drawing in at risk kids who probably have to walk to get there. Some of them are in stocking feet, another has boots, they walked through slush or snow and got their shoes wet. But they came.

My hat is off to whoever this teacher is. God bless you, Ma’am or Sir, whichever the case may be. I’ll bet you are making a difference.
