What would you have added? It's a good article, but it's missing many of the nuances of the training experience. For example, what was your feeling when you saw Stairway to Heaven after 10 miles+ into the final road march?

I remember hopping into the back of a deuce and a half after graduation, then checking in to jump school and getting smoked out of the gate by the black hats lol.

grog? my class in 98 had a steak dinner waiting for us at the end. then we had a surprise test! we had to march around the area next to sacrifice field and get graded on DNC. Afterwards my blue cord, discs and insignia were waiting for me on my bed. Nothing special. However, the overall experience was special, because its not everyday you get to watch two idiots screaming at each other in the field for no particular reason or catch people jerking in the porta potty. Hey what're you doing in the tree line? I see you! hah those were the days...
