Two more Woman Marines leading from the front! 2nd Lt. Virginia Brodie graduated number one of the 137 students in both the gunnery portion of the course and in overall score and was recognized as her class’ distinguished honor graduate. 2nd Lt. Katherine Boy graduated the 19-week course as well. She finished in the top five percent of her class and was named one of the class’ honor graduates. Nice way to start your career. Best of luck, keep charging! Semper Fi.

MGySgt James Forward Thank you for posting this. I am not surprised that these two women and those who will follow are graduating with honors. All women need is a chance to prove themselves. As far as physical requirements, we all know men are the stronger gender, but I believe we will see a paradigm shift. Women will train toward the physical requirements now that the jobs are open to them. Congratulations to both of them!

YES, men are the stronger gender, but ISIS, Al Qaeda, and Taliban fear armed women, therefore strength is what scares the enemy.
