As a team leader do I do an initial counseling?

This last drill I was entrusted with a team from my platoons weapons squad. Any tips and resources would be helpful but, my first question is do I do an I initial counseling on my 3 guys, stating the expectations of myself and the squad leader? Or is that not my responsibility and the squad leader does that?

To me it's best if the squad hears from you and the squad leader to what you both want from them and what you will be looking for brother SPC (Join to see) JS.
