I’m currently an 11x and I just wanted to know. How is it in the infantry? Does it suck as bad as people make it sound? And how do they select 11b and 11c?

Dont listen to the people who bad mouth the Infantry. If you want to do "cool guy" stuff that is where you want to start out. If you like outdoorsy stuff, shooting, blowing stuff up and training to fight, that is where you want to be. The people who hate on the Infantry either dont like that kind of stuff or had a bad unit and didnt stick it out to see other units.

Good advice. I started out as a 12B, and it's always a good idea to get a taste of the Combat Arms side of the house when you first join. Because most of us "lifers" end up reclassing. My hat is off to the Soldiers that stick with 11B/12B etc for 20 years or more.

SFC (Join to see) Lol I was the weirdo who re-classed INTO Infantry. , but mostly to make me a better PSYOPer. Id have still liked to have started as 11B though.

Lots of lawn mowing, rock painting, weapon cleaning, picking up cigarette butts in the parking lot, etc...

I never thought the infantry was "bad". I suppose the particular unit has a lot to do with it. I loved my time with the 101st ABN but the 3rd ID really fed you some chicken shit.
11B or 11C is generally selected on enlistment. Check with your recruiter.
