Over 60% of my former work force were prior military combat arms, DD214 was a requirement , NG & Reserve had to also provide DD214 for Basic/AIT as well as military ID and unit

What era did you serve in? Some records did burn in a fire, but not as many as veteran's have been lead to believe. Check with your local VSO( Veterans Service Officer) for details. There are ways to recover what was destroyed, if it applies to you. If you have your DD214, them all service records can be found.

Hey, you can try to contact the VA and your unit S1 copies of your paper should be in the system. However, it is likely that something can or will be missing. Sorry to hear that you lost your files.

PFC Martin Potashner - I hate to tell you this but that isn't how it works. I have had friends over the fence. Their support enablers are not "sworn to an oath" not to tell something like that. Even the most classified unit have unit patches. As a combat engineer PFC I wouldn't even know how you would could get to a unit like. They don't have the MTOE for that MOS. If you don't have records of it then it didn't happen. DOD don't classify DD-214s. Your overseas time would still be counted there.

I really don't care what you think my whole point was that I had a lawyer and other former military personnel try and get my records and all failed.
