HASSELL + EOC presents MARS HABITAT

We are moving fairly rapidly to go back to the moon and we are gathering tremendous scientific information about and on Planet Mars... It will not be many years before we send a manned spacecraft to Mars and will land...Unless there is some means of habitation, then our visit will be very short lived before the spacecraft must leave to keep the window of reasonably short cycle return to Earth... This Video is one methodology designed to provide habitation modules on Mars so that astronauts can be provided for a length stay on the Planet...

"The HASSELL design for a Mars Habitat has reached the final 10 of NASA’s 3D Printing Centennial Challenge. This NASA competition sought perspectives from outside the traditional aerospace industry, to explore how a human habitat could be designed and delivered on Mars using autonomous 3D printing technologies. HASSELL partnered with Eckersley O’Callaghan to design the external shell which could be constructed entirely by autonomous robots using Mars’ natural regolith.
