Who all here is old enough to remember the old steel pots?
We only had them in basic at Ft. Sill and then we had the Kevlar by my first duty station in germany.

I never wore one, but the Chaplain at my first unit still wore one. Made his coffee in it and everything. He was a full bird that had served in Vietnam and I guess that’s just what he was used to wearing.

We had steel pots in basic at ft sill in 89. We switched to Kevlar half way through.
