I know there's a cut-off age for becoming a flight WO. I also know that it's waiverable. Is there a max age that they'll be willing to waiver?

SSG (Join to see) I would say, check w/ the Air Force since we have such a shortage of pilots...lol. I mean, you could fly the A-10.
I would think, and I'm just spitballing, that the demand for pilots seems to be going up, so the waiver age might be getting a bit more lax, too.

Hate the idea of flying drones if you couldn't tell.

LTJG (Join to see) - right now, a lot of flight school grads go straight to instructor slots from what my busy going through it right now said. The upper ranks are getting the hours and lower guys getting instructor or admin type positions.

Yea navy too. Never understood that one. Yea I get it.... Some people understand aerodynamics better than the masses... But I feel like some experience should be on your resume before you teach.

But people a lot smarter than me came up with this idea

LTJG (Join to see) - I feel like there should be quotation marks around the 'a lot smarter than me' portion of your comment...lol. We all know that when leadership is desperate, not so great ideas are pushed forward.

Army is short on helo pilots as well. I believe they are trying recruiting and retention bonuses either now or rolling out soon. Also, many state NG's are also short. I thought it was 35 but then I heard you had to be in flight school before 33. I'm in school right now and 32 so I can personally vouch for 32 not requiring a waiver.
