Sergeant Kayci Landes, of I Corps' 16th Combat Aviation Brigade, 7th Infantry Division, makes ‪Army history as the first female to reenlist as 19D, Cavalry Scout.

Do you consider her a trailblazer and will this encourage more females to follow suit?

SFC (Join to see) Please stop appropriating Navy terminology k thx. There are no 'top guns' in the Army.

SN Greg Wright - Very apparent you are not familiar with BB&T gunnery. The highest qualifying crew in each battalion is referred to as the Top Gun.

No I do not believe she is a trailblazer. She is a soldier and a NCO. She is a standard bearer. The trail has already been blazed by the ranger school graduates. Now these females are just stepping up and taking charge. I'm all for opening it up for females but we need to also get off of the political correctness that is facing us today. Worry about the real issues. Equiptment and personnel shortages across the front.

Exactly how I feel Sir, just leave her alone and let her do her job. By giving her all this attention it make things even harder for her.
