Reenlisting into Air National Guard. What should I do? I am leaning towards Security Forces. Any opinions from Active or Guard members?

SGT (Join to see) I would definitely go w/ Security Forces (I'm not biased, or anything...lol). What you said in MSG (Join to see) 's post is true, SF has a more Army feel, whereas, from my experience, many other AFSCs are more business-like comparatively. Outside of that, the AFSCs that are closer to an Army mindset would be the SpecOps guys, I figure.

Security Forces has a lot of infantry-like skills, I made the same transition and loved it.

My advice is to go with what you are interested in and what your gut says.

Yeah that's the way I feel. I would like to do something that is easy, but still have that military feel. Plus Security Forces have a "high deployment" rate so I can play military every now and then but not have the year long deployments like in the Army. Other MOS's in the AF Im sure deploy but Im not sure how often.
