Is the AIT for 35f hard? I’ve been looking into 35f and 35m and I just always have this feeling of “I won’t do as good as I think” or “I’ll fail out and get re-classed” any help or responses are welcome, i appreciate it!

I just graduated from the 35F course in January. It’s honestly not that hard. The only way you fail the course And get reclass-ed is if you fail a test 3 times. My advice to you would be never be afraid to ask a question. Sometimes other students don’t ask questions because they don’t want to look dumb in front of their peers. However, you should because you may be asking something others want clarification on but are afraid to ask themselves because they feel like everyone else gets it. Secondly, tab your books in a manner that you can find what you need easily. The 35F course doesn’t test how well you can attain knowledge. It tests how quickly you can move between sources and find the right answers. Thirdly, always pay attention in class. If you feel like you‘re going to fall asleep, stand up. Lastly, make a great cheat sheet when it comes to the exams. You only have one page so make sure you take your instructors advice on what to put. If you do those four things you will make it through the course.

TLDR: Tab your books! Ask questions! Pay attention in class! Make a great cheat sheet!

You’re welcome. I encourage you into research as many MOS’s as you can before you join. Don’t let a recruiter pressure you into something you don’t want to do. PFC (Join to see)

You do as well as the work you put into it. It’s all classroom work, no studying outside of the class room. The sections aren’t really hard, you just need to pay attention in class and you will do fine. Being a 35F is one of the most rewarding jobs in the army, hell, I’ve still got another 5 years before I can get out but my experience has led to multiple job offers in the 3 letter agencies like the FBI, DIA and other contracting agencies

Thank you! I just get a bit anxious thinking about it I am willing to work as hard as I can to succeed. I always just get those second thoughts thinking “what if I can’t do it?” I am definitely wanting to go into some type of agency when I get out so I know this will be one of the best paths for that. Thank you for the response!

The state of the MOS is super understrength, really easy to get promoted, I made E6 in 6 years. Work on a degree focusing on homeland security like mine is criminal justice with a minor in homeland security and I plan on working for the FBI as a counter terrorism agentPFC (Join to see)

In the words of my instructor, “I can teach a hamster how to do your job if the hamster just listens to me”. Knowledge management is all it takes to be a good analyst, a skill you will need to be a good NCO anyways. Take notes, ask questions, listen. All you have to do to not fail. I was the distinguished honor graduate, top of my class. And I did that while meeting my first wife (don’t recommend) and enjoying awesome memories doing things definitely out of regs with my friends (do recommend)
