Thank you my friend and brother-in-Christ Sgt (Join to see) for your diligence in posting our friend, former RallyPoint member emeritus, and brother-in-Christ Colonel Mikel Burroughs VFV Motivational/Inspirational Quotes & Message of the Day for Sunday February 26, 2023.

Topic: Connect Day
Our connections to others are strengthened by our connection to our LORD. After all we demonstrate our love for God through how we love the people HE causes us to interact with.
1. By God's grace we can have a personal relationship with the awesome, superb, majestic, awe-inspiring, Creator of all creation HIMSELF.
2. I am fulfilled in my relationship with my LORD and Savior Jesus the Christ.
3. I am fulfilled in my relationship with my darling wife and my adult sons.
4. The most important aspects of life and eternity cannot be seen in any sense. Love, respect, relationship, courtesy, mercy, justice, grace and most importantly God are invisible. Demonstrations of love, respect, courtesy, mercy, justice, and grace are observable.
5. Only those who have a personal relationship with the LORD experience true peace.
6. 1. I was painfully shy as a child. I had a few close friends who are lifelong friends to this day. God transformed my shyness into a desire and capability to share my faith publicly.

Quotes:
1. Joanne Raptis 'Be like a tree. Stay grounded. Connect with your roots. Turn over a new leaf. Bend before you break. Enjoy your unique natural beauty. Keep growing.'
2. Craig Groeschel 'We might impress people with our strengths, but we connect with people through our weaknesses.'
3. Tory Burch 'Being an entrepreneur isn’t just a job title, and it isn’t just about starting a company. It’s a state of mind. It’s about seeing connections others can’t, seizing opportunities others won’t
4. Paulo Coelho 'The more in harmony with yourself you are, the more joyful you are and the more faithful you are. Faith is not to disconnect you from reality - it connects you to reality.'
5. Ruben Chavez 'Pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to. They are often connected to your path, passion and purpose
6. Henry Cloud 'The physicality of a real relationship - one that encompasses mind, body and soul - ultimately makes it more fulfilling and powerful than any virtual relationship ever could be.'

Scriptures:
a. Philippians 3:13-15 ESV 'Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let those of us who are mature think this way, and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal that also to you. Only let us hold true to what we have attained.'
b. 1 John 3:2-3 ESV 'Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.’
c. Ephesians 5:25-28 ESV 'Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.'
d. Hebrews 6:9-12 ESV 'Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation. For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do. And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
e. Malachi 4:6 ESV 'He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers.'
f. Ephesians 4:15-16 ESV ‘Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.'
g. Psalm 68:4-6 ESV "Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.’
h. Romans 12:9-20 ESV 'Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.

Good morning Kerry and thanks for posting. This topic brings to mind the hardship that the lockdowns caused...connecting via electronic media is not like connecting in person. I dealt with way too many clients who were suffering from isolation and depression at not being able to be with loved ones and friends for extended periods of time not to recognize how critical that connection is for our mental and physical well being.
Who are you connected to...? Are you keeping that connection strong and healthy? If not, what can you do to improve it?

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.”

No doubt you have had many titles over the years beginning with son or daughter of your parents. I expect you realize that the LORD values relationship. LORD, YOU made us aware that we demonstrate our love to YOU by loving those around us. Hopefully you appreciate the title husband, father, brother, and/or son or the feminine version wife, mother, sister and/or daughter. I trust that you prize your relationship with God and I hope and pray that your other relationships are prospering as your soul prospers. ‘Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth.’ [1 John 3:2-3 ESV] my brother-in-Christ SSgt (Join to see)

I pray for humility, endurance in selfless service, compassion and sufficient fruit of the Holy Spirit goodness, peace, self-control, and patience for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. 'Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.’ [1 Peter 5:5 ESV]. Thank YOU, LORD for renewing our mind through the washing of water with the word as YOU transform our soul. 'Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word' [Ephesians 5:25-26 ESV]

I pray for genuine increase of openness and honesty for trustworthy legislators, judges, justices, government executives, appointed officials and leaders of non-profits. Let YOUR light shine through them to convict those with less scruples among their peers. Draw as many to YOUR light as YOU are willing and use each to serve as good or bad examples to enable YOUR adopted sons and daughters to learn as much as we can. ‘Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.’ [Ephesians 4:15-16 ESV]

I pray for safety, security and good health for each of the family members of the deployed service members. I pray that YOU enable and motivate the deployed service members to write letters to their family – especially for spouses and young children. 'He will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers.' [Malachi 4:6 ESV]

I lift widows [SPC Diana Dobbs, MSgt Gloria Vance, Maj Joan Marine, Diana Kuzinski, Barbara Reynolds, Teresa, Brandon, Crystal Von Rosenburg, and Peggy Dunlap] and widowers [PO2 Jeffrey Goggin, CSM Charles Hayden, LTC D Wayne Gregory, MSgt Dave Hoffman, MSG Joseph Christofaro, SGT Mark Anderson MSG Thomas Currie, SSgt Charles Ankner] to YOU dear LORD. I pray that YOU bless each with joy and peace as they grieve until completion. Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him! Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.’ [Psalm 68:4-6 ESV]

I pray that you and your family members sleep well Sunday night and each awake refreshed and healthy on Monday morning.
By the power and authority of the Name above all names, Jesus the Christ
