If you got an honorable discharge after serving 181 days on active duty you are prior service by definition.

In short yes, but depending on your discharge and time in depends on what you are and aren't entitled to or what you can and can't do when it comes to the military. There are a lot of variables.

For example I think of the rapper Soldier Hard that in one of his songs he raps about how he went AWOL and got in trouble and kicked out and then after 9/11 he felt guilty and they let him back in, but if it was today and the Air Force I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have let him back in.
