Yet the market estimates STILL value my home WELL below what I paid for it in 2009 (when we thought that the housing market was at its lowest, and could only go up).
Why? If you ask me, whatever is going on in the rest of the country has nothing to do with the locality of EPTX. The builders can get cheap land at the edge of town, cheap labor from Mexico, and sell you a home cheaper than anywhere else. As my realtor advised, why would anyone want to buy a 5-10 year old used home when the new home builders just come and undercut that price, and offering a brand new home?
