There are worse spots to be. Typical APO there, if that is your gig. Personnel support cell has a lot of brass to support and the field teams executing Atlantic Resolve keep the DTS reviewer/ approver guys really busy.
Lot's of opportunity to get out and about and see Europe.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - Get smart on your reference publications because you will be in them a lot. Common questions are in pay allowances, awards (always awards), odd evaluation situations, and how leave/passes will work. Stay in front of these issues by publishing guidance with a frim grounding in the reg.

I was in Poland in 2018, Poland is beautiful, everyone is nice there. Currency exchange is well if favor to U.S, i think its 3.5-1. Older generation has a tendency to not speak English. i would recommend getting an international drivers license before going on rotation. Renting cars is super cheap there.

Our 42A's didn't go to the field or range, internet sucks there.

Also make sure your phone is unlocked before going. so you can get a Poland simcard.

For sure, how do I go about getting an international license? And do they let you go around Europe at all?

it depends on your BN, we were allowed all 4 days and no curfew. i drove all around Poland, Prague, Berlin and went to Oktoberfest in Munich. we were also allowed to take flights to any NATO country in Europe on 4 days.

You go through AAA for international drivers license.
Also highly recommend a Valid passport.

if you have any questions, let me know.
