What ASI would you Chemical SM rather have L3 or L6?

I have just recently got my P status, I'm going to BLC in July, and they are also letting me go to an ASI right after BLC. Which one would you choose for career enhancement and why? Needing some guidance. I'm having to make a decision soon and I'd like some help from anyone that's been to the courses or anyone that's been in for a minute and has career progression advice in regards for certain ASI to take. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Between L3 and L6, I'd go with L3 cuz before the actual class you get certified in CBRN First Responder which is pre req so that's two in one...

If you are talking about HM- awareness level, then it was just an online test before I went to ALC. Is First Responder the same thing? Things have been changing a lot in our Corps.

I agree with SFC Randy Purham . If you been to choose, go L6. It will benefit you more in the long run

L6. It's more transferable to the civilian sector if you go that route. There systems that L6 uses that L4 and Styker units use in the contracting world.

How could it translate to the civilian sector? I was awarded the L6 ASI code designation in 2009. I've been out of the Army since 2010. I graduated with a degree in electrical technology from Shelton State, so now I'm an electrician apprentice doing something completely different. I've been trained in L6, so how do I use my chem knowledge to my benefit of being a civilian? POC @ [login to see] .

SGT Joseph Rhodes - It would be hard to unless you are in a job field in CBRN that could utilize those skills coupled with your electrical background. I recommend looking at CBRN Defense Network on LinkedIN and RDECOM in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.
