As long as your aren’t DQ’d for an Art 15, adverse action or behavioral health... you’ll get picked up. Takes 3-6 months to get approved and school date is usually 6 months after that. Take a real long hard thought about if it is really what you want to do and do some research about the climate of the command and how the organization is where you are looking to go.

I highly suggest not picking a location if they still give you the chance based on where your family resides. Anyone can make it anywhere as long as they put in the grind, effort and self development but you are often put outside your comfort zone... especially so if you are not as comfortable talking to absolute strangers. We are in an extremely interesting time with the incoming generation. Even in the two years out here I have seen a major shift. Good luck and if it is what you decide is best for you, kick ass and take names everyday!

Judging by the number of people I've had come on recruiting assignment lately, and who DA waived the time on station rules, I'd say your likelihood is 110% as long as you don't have any disqualifying issues.
You could probably just call your branch, tell them to put you on the DA select, and be on assignment in two weeks.

I’ve already tried that. My BM said he filled all the DA select spots.

It can take a few months then. Unlike the DA select, once they receive your packet, they run all the screening and validation first before placing you on assignment. There's probably a backlog right now with the massive number of recruiters being pulled in to support the Army attempting to grow.

My husband put in a packet and got a call today saying he’s approved but someone needs to pull him ? Any idea how long it takes ? Once approved do you know if it’s garenteed ?
