1 year ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism for not having my menstrual cycle for 3 months because of the thyroid. My primary doctor told me it was amenorrhea. When I started the synthroid treatment I started my menstrual cycle again. I am very frustrated because I have submitted all my papers and medical record, and even those of the obstetrician-gynecologist who evaluates me and says that everything is perfectly fine and that I never had amenorrhea since that condition is diagnosed by menstrual absence for 6 months or more that was only due to hormonal lack of control. They keep asking me for the medical record of my obstetrician-gynecologist and I have nothing else to deliver. I have already sent the entire document and medical record that I have. I am absolutely fine a year ago with my hypothyroidism and regular cycle. What I can do? I am very frustrated. I no longer have a document. I have delivered everything.

you need to ask them to be specific. What exactly are they wanting to see that you haven't given them already?

Nel Font - they probably lost it. If you have a copy send it again. THey mysteriously "lost" my medical records for nearly 18 months when I transferred from the guard to the reserves and then one day they just miraculously reappeared on our S1's desk while she was gone to lunch.

LTC (Join to see) Can I transfer all my documents to another MEPS? I have been in the process of documents for 5 months and I have already delivered everything. Are all MEPS different? I currently live in Puerto Rico and would like to continue in Kansas.

Nel Font - you should be able to. you'll basically have to start over from scratch. Sounds like there is some incompetence going on at your local MEPS

Dodi 6130.03 under disqualifying conditions 5.24. ENDOCRINE AND METABOLIC CONDITIONS.
. History of hyperthyroidism unless treated successfully with surgery or radioactive iodine

You state your treatment was not one of the above mentioned indicating that your are disqualified from service no waiver authorized.

Nel Font - this is the exact screenshot of the regulation. I don't exactly know where you got the other information from. The reason they have to keep asking is because they have to submit a waiver request for your condition. sometimes they lose paperwork but they are covering their butts so you cant say they didn't try. You have to have a waiver submitted to be formally disqualified.

Do I have the possibility to transfer my documents to another MEPS? I currently have plans to move to another state. Thank you very much for your answers and I appreciate.

Nel Font - My apologies, its been a long day. You cant go to another recruiter first and see if they can streamline the process for you. You will however, need the records of said disorders.
