Which test fulfills the requirements for reclassification to 35M, DLAB, DLPT, or either?

I'm trying to reclass from Active Duty 11B to ARNG 35M. I was 4 points short of getting a 95 (minimum requirement) on the DLAB, however, I have already passed a DLPT for a CAT 1 language with a L2-R3. My ARNG recruiter doesn't really know if im elgible for the job, despite the reqs saying I can have either or. I get out in 2 months and im not eligible to retest for another 6, if not it wouldn't be a big deal. Can anyone clarify?

You shouldn't be dealing with an ARNG recruiter if you're on AD, that's your first mistake. You need to go to your local Reserve Component Career Counselor at your post, who is the person you are required to go see prior to ETS.

A DLPT only serves as a qualifying test if you're being placed into that language. For instance, being a 3/3 German speaker won't help you if your unit needs no German speakers.

It depends on your unit. Some units will not accept a 95 because they want a CAT II or CAT III language. My unit would not accept any DLAB score lower than a 105. You can still get the 35M MOS without the 105. I know someone who is reclassing currently to 35M and she did not get the appropriate score for my unit. What state are you in?
