Here is a response from one of my Transportation background officers: "In the states while I was the SPO we had a 88L or M40 that was in charge of orchestrating all movement for the brigade via land, air and sea, there was another position at BDE. At JBLM when we would go to YTC a TMR was supposed to be submitted 15 days prior to any movement to ITD. ITD govern all military move it to the I-5 Corridor and highways for all of the state of Washington IAW DOL and the WANG (Washington state national guard) SOP. The WANG and DOL owned all the highways for Washington state. The 88 SFC would verify the paperwork, submit it, track it, upon return of it would ensure the Conway rehearsals and set up was proper with serial numbers chalked on the vehicles to include proper signs. Then track all movements and report it to the S3. I will dig into the books in a little bit here to get a better assessment of the position." You can also find information on ACT. At:

ok thank you for the info. I looked on ACT and it gave a vague description on what it is. From the sound of it sounds kind of like a Truck Master but on a BN or Higher level.

SSG (Join to see), pretty much. Think Movement Control Team (MCT) NCOIC. Works in the BSB or higher controlling what is on the roads. I assume he'd work for the BSB Operations SGM or maybe even be dual hatted in the BSB TOC.

I did that at an ESC SPO in Kuwait. I tracked all white truck movements within the whole CENTCOM. This includes TEUs, weight, and # of rolling stock sent. There is more if you have more questions.
