I researched everything i could (im a 91B) i kinda got sent to a detachment and pushed in to being a motor sergeant, now im stuck fixing a company and some faults just dont seem right to me?

The TM will tell you under what circumstances this is a deadline. Generally, a crack in the rear view mirror does not deadline a vehicle unless it is that extreme that it completely blocks your view. However, in the PMCS section of the 10 manuals it will very specifically state if it does or not. If it is silent than the answer is no. That being said? The Commander can put their two cents in and say it is an admin deadline at their discretion.

May I ask a question of you Sgt.? I have been out for a fair amount of time and when I was in I was a 64B as a Wheeled Vehicle mechanic and I got a 2ndary MOS as a 76C-Parts Room Attendant. How does this translate to the current branding for Mechanics. Is it like the 91B? Just wanting to address things properly. When I was in after my 1st year I was put into a Vehicle Insp. Slot and than ran Post Drivers Testing my last year in. And like my dad told a 2nd Lt. once about deadline being large. He told him Sir take the next day off. When I was working in my job as a 76C I got us a lot of things. Some that tech we were not supposed to have but needed to keep vehicles up. And saved hundreds on parts when the military Supply System made mistakes on parts we could use I found out what they could be used for in our Vehicle Inventory and saved us several hundred dollars every time I found things like this. Basically when we got new Microfiche in I went through every one of them. I know that kind of dates when I served but today it would be much easier to track down things like this.

There are 3 sources for that;
1) -10TM. 2) AR 385-55 (Safety Reg), and 3) your Division/BDE/BN SOP’s.
Are you guys having trouble getting parts or is it mostly that you inherited a huge mess?
While you build technical competence and motivation in your mechanics and equipment operators you will need to scrounge for parts or trade. Look at your deadline report numerous times daily, and make sure all deadline parts are on order against the correct vehicles with a good status.
Do not hesitate to contact your Support Battalion (SPO) and get some help chasing parts and statuses.
