As a 73A, In a situation where I decide to switch from reserve duty to active duty, will it affect my promotion chances positively without a break in service while I earn the benefits of spending more than 20 years in the Army? or is applying for Reserve AGR duty a better alternative? (Somewhere on this platform i found out that there's a difference between Guard AGR and Reserve AGR but I am referring to the Reserve AGR duty here)

Too many variables, get on board first, either Active Duty, Reserve or Guard .

Possibly. Since you would be switching from one component to another, your DOR would get recalculated. At least, it does for Enlisted.
