That MOS is a double edged sword. There are some really cool parts and others not so good. That is most things in life. These are just my opinions
Pros:
-Hot refueling is fun
-FSSP
-Really important function

Cons:
-High promotion points (at least when I was in)
-Baptism....and no this is not a religious thing
-You will never get the smell of JP-8 out of your uniforms once you get baptized

Aviation life is awesome.. anything else.. pretty well sucks to most.. once you get your hazmat certifications you will wind up driving about anything.. sooo... If you enjoy driving like me and working long hours in the field.. it's alright.. plus as a fueler.. in the regs.. you just operate the pump and valves.. I've given a full bird the nozzel to fill his own truck up before.. lol he got so mad he called my sgt major.. who then told him that pumping fuel into his vehicle was in fact not my job lol.. made my day

Its not the worst mos...certain places you go you may not even end uo doing your job but another ex. Driver, office clerk , unit supply/ amourer....Korea was a really good place for me to learn my mos with regards to ground fueling...but the real job i think is in aviation..you have to be on point when filling up the birds...my advice to you find someone who knows their job and pick their brains for everything you can and if or when you get out and you want to stay in the line of work financially it will be rewarding..
