“Fight Day!”
1. I was trained to fight as a warrior as an enlisted soldier, a USMA cadet and later an infantry officer. I learned to fight with my hands, elbows, feet, knees, teeth, head, bladed weapons, kinetic weapons, etc.
2. Long ago I learned to stand up to defend those who could not stand on their own and those who were bullied. Thankfully my sons have learned from that example to defend and protect.
3. I am a husband of one wife, a father of adult sons, an adopted child of God, a retired Army officer, a disabled veteran, a prayer warrior, a pro-life social conservative who supports freedom of speech, worship, the second amendment
4. I am staunchly pro-life and I respect the rights of those who disagree with me to hold their own views.
5. Thankfully God fights the most significant battles on our behalf. ‘For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.’ [Ephesians 6:12 ESV]
6. I had to take our friend Mikel's quote with a large grain of salt. I nonconcur with 'they don’t yell' Warrior leaders have yelled blood-curdling yell since ancient times - notable examples are the American Indian war yells, rebel yell, banzai, etc. Yelling is designed to instill fear/terror in opponents which is part of being a warrior.

I pray for sound judgement, compassion, and insight on what to gracefully stand up for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. Guide each of us to pray for who and what we need to and motivate prayer warriors to intercede in Spiritual Warfare. I thank YOU for the defensive armor of God and the offensive Sword of the Spirit which YOU store in the soul of each of us and draw it forth through us whenever we need it. Enable us to wield YOUR Word respectfully with grace and demonstration of love to each we interact with. By YOUR grace YOU fight the battles on our behalf in the heavens. I hope and pray that each of us are wise enough to stand up for truth and to be willing to back off on minor and non-essential issues. ‘For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.’ [2 Corinthians 10:4-6 ESV] I pray that YOU bless the individuals, faith-based organizations, and states which support pro-life, adoption, justice-for-all, freedom of expression and assembly with endurance, hope and wisdom to take the fight for freedom of faith to whatever level of effort is required. ‘Have I not commanded you. Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.' [Joshua 1:9 ESV]
I pray for those struggling to breath, struggling with chronic pain, clinically depressed, PTSD/TBI disabled with the will to drive on, fight for health with hope to carry them/us through this night and each day through the year. I pray YOU bless each with peace and joy and guide good listeners to each when they need to talk and to have somebody trustworthy to sit with them for comfort. ‘Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.’ [2 Corinthians 1:3-4 ESV]
I lift trustworthy, honest and capable elected officials, judges, and administrators throughout the nations to YOU LORD. I pray for sufficient moral courage, honesty, and desire for fairness for each trustworthy legislator, judge, justice, government executive, appointed official, and leader. I pray that YOU bless them with wisdom to solve the issues facing their community; endurance in doing good for those within their jurisdiction; sufficient patience and listening skills to hear what they need to hear; and selfless love to make decisions which are honorable and will bless many without hurting anyone. 'But as for you, O man of God, flee these things. Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith.' [1 Timothy 6:11-12 ESV]
I pray that you and your family members sleep well Saturday night and each will awake refreshed and healthy on Sunday morning.

I pray for sound judgement, compassion, and insight on what to gracefully stand up for each one of YOUR adopted sons and daughters who reads or listens to this prayer. Guide each of us to pray for who and what we need to and motivate prayer warriors to intercede in Spiritual Warfare.
