I Come from a Different Time. "Master at Arms" "Cop" the Navy Had a Different Attitude. Not Given to Youngsters. Seniority Mattered. "Prove Yourself" You Want to Wear a Navy Badge. You were Already a Petty Officer, Paid Your Dues. Earned Your Way Up. I was an E-6 When I was Given a Badge. CTO1. Then I was "Given" Naval District Washington Badge #9, Master at Arms to Commander Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command. I Don't Want Much, I Want as Much Experience that I Had before I was "Given" a Badge.

It will only get worse. CNIC’s LE program is broken and outdated, they rush qualifications for these never ending inspections. It pushes security to care more about what’s on paper for RASS, CART, etc, and real training and quality patrolmen do not seem to exist anymore. This new generation is entitled, doesn’t want to be responsible for their actions, and doesn’t take authority seriously. It’s a steep decline, and I doubt it will improve any time soon in the MA rate.

It’s unfortunate that this politically correct, victimization, entitlement attitude has reached the core of our military branches. It’s dangerous and a slippery slope. But we must not let the small percentage of these punks worry us or get our hope down. They will reap what they sow and it will be much more difficult for them then us. In the mean time keep your head down and continue our core values “Honor” “courage “ “commitment.” Thank you for your continued service MA1

PO2 Nicholas Ramirez Many Thanks for such a Great Compliment MA2, I'm Way to Temperamental, Bad Tempered Kraut and Bad Tempered Scotsman to be a True MAA. I was Given My Badge Just Because of My Rank and Clearance, I had a Higher Clearance than My Skipper (Above Reproach) So to Speak. Purely Ceremonial for the Most Part while I was in DC. I'm Still CTO1 Part Time MAA, IS, NC, PH, DC.
