I have been trying to keep you all updated about ammo availability from a gun shop perspective, but I'm not privy to the supply-side, so we have to be on the lookout for information from the industry leaders. This article, which includes two videos from industry leaders, just came out Wednesday, so this is as up-to-date as it gets. I will try to stay on top of it as much as I can, because it affects me too. I don't get any special "deals" just because I work part-time in a gun shop. Hopefully the supply and demand will start leveling-out shortly, but I wouldn't bet on it.

People are hoarding ammo. It has a lot to do with the current political climate.

Our gun sales has been bonkers, and some sales are two or three guns at a time. We are having to restrict some ammo sales to gun-buyers only because we can't get enough to keep up with the demand.

I can't find anywhere in MA to purchase 9mm ammo... Tough scenario given what is going on...

Just purchased two boxes each of.40, 9mm, and 380...last they had...no target rounds only defense rounds...bought .22 short last week as I have a model 24 that only shoots shorts...it is over 100 years old. Buy it when and where you can.

SSG Paul Headlee - I bought a Makarov 9X18, but my gunsmith buddy suggested I rebarrell it to .380 ACP as it would work otherwise, and the 9X18 ammo was hard to find and used a corrosive propellant. I bought the barrel and a new set of sights and he did the work for nothing.

There was a couple of places in Spokane with 22lr right before Christmas through the 31st. I picked up a couple of boxes, but I let those young parents have the most of it. You can tell the kids with them got brand new rifles for Christmas.

Most of the 22 LR we have been getting is coming from Aquila, and it seems to shoot just fine.
