COL Mikel J. Burroughs thanks for the "Motivational Quote of the day "The Meaning of life is to find your gift. The Purpose of life is to give it away." — Pablo Picasso.
For me just to have GODS GRACE AND MERCY WITH HIS UNCONDITIONAL LOVE IS ALL I NEED TO MAKE IT. Good share/read for the RP NATION.

Great quotes today, COL Mikel J. Burroughs! Most of us veterans find purpose in serving. I know service to others has given me a rudder as Carlisle said. His friend Ralph Waldo Emerson said,
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” I think we veterans live that creed.

One certainly doesn't join the military to get rich. Patriotism and serving a purpose ranks up there.

I have to go with Picasso today. Find your gift to give it away. Anyone that is involved in community service projects understands this concept. It is not always easy to give your time away, but sometimes what you get back makes it worth it. Great quotes to day COL Mikel J. Burroughs

Lt Col Charlie Brown - very noble cause Col. Helping others in need and being the caring and calming voice in a crisis is a hard job.

This is Great Lt Col Charlie Brown. My mother-in-law did the same with The Red Cross. She loved it and was devoted to it. It is fortunate that you have the opportunity to do this. There are the ones who would love to participate in something like this but are restricted by something in their lives that demands all. So glad you found your niche.

Maj Marty Hogan - You're so right, but you do a great job of it and I know you get personal satisfaction out of helping others Marty. I've seen it first hand. Have a wonderful Sunday with you family! God Bless!

Absolutely when I was a Consultant at Accenture some of us volunteered time after hours when we worked 12 hour days but were so fortunate in where we were and we gave weekends and after hours to couch homeless, upgrade schools in poor areas and council vets... and mock interviews and what they did right and what could be improved. And some of the memories I have of my service are so special. And when I pass I have that to go against my sins.
