I’m PCS down to WTC FT Benning in 2 weeks. Anybody have any advice as far as housing ?

Depends what company in WTC you’re going to. B Co and C Co do a lot of TDY, so if you have family I’d recommend living on post so you won’t have to worry about their security while you’re gone. If you’re going to A Co or HHC, off post will be fine. Look for something north of Exit 6 if you go off post

SGT (Join to see) WTC is very good with their sponsorship program. You should be hearing from your sponsor soon and he’ll be able to offer some suggestions based on your criteria. Take full advantage of all the opportunities afforded by T10 ADOS orders- there are a lot of them that most Guardsmen never get. Some of the best soldiers in the ARNG pass through WTC.

My time as a single E5 at Benning I lived in the barracks without any issues. Not to mention a matter of policy; but that was eons ago (‘95-‘96). Today, not sure what the garrison commander, or your commander might require. Nevertheless, E5 without dependent will not make that much BAH for a decent place. Not even in the Columbus/Phoenix City area.
