I was sick and tired of waking up every morning sick and tired. But mainly because I almost ruined my marriage and my career.

Personally, I'm starting to notice how much time, money and effort goes into the planning of events that are based on drinking. Personally, I've noticed that too many people that drink are not happy but it's a socially acceptable way to harm yourself. It's a fine line we tread, some more responsibly than others.

ENS (Join to see) Haven't heard from you in while, so great question. For me it was when I my second wife (since divorced) and remarried now decided to get drunk and ride her motorcycle up the hill in Castle Rock, CO crashing on the corner and skidding on the payment for about 20 to 30 feet. She was life flighted to the ICU where she spent 10 days recovering from staples in the back of her head and unbelievable road burns (pictured above - sorry for the graphics), but I wanted to make a point (you don't drink and ride a motorcycle. To support her during her rehabilitation period and healing period, I decided to give up all alcohol (this was the late summer of 2010) and I've never returned to drinking since that day. She pormised not to either , but that lasted as long as she couldn't drive for 6 months and then she reverted right back to being an alcoholic - thus the reason for our divorce in 2012.
