This is quite the shocker! I certainly had my share of problems with alcohol and wish I had never touched it. Drank heavily after Vietnam and for years later. Been sober now for almost 13 years and prior to the death of my wife, almost 15 years. It's not good at all.

I'm sorry to hear that alcohol affected you that way, SFC William Farrell. I'm sure life was not always fun.
Like you, I'm not surprised in the least!

I had a drinking problem way before I came into the Military, but did perfect it during my time in ,got real bad after Vietnam, finally hit the jackpot with a few drunk and disorderly arrests,AA finally got me sober one day at a time,God really does look after drunks and fools after all!

SGT Philip Roncari AA is a good program Phillip. I usually go to one meeting a week. I cant say I had the problem before I went in and Im pretty sure I would have turned out the same way considering the family history but the military certainly added to it!
