Something to make leftist "Grabbers" heads explode. A cause for celebration for Me. A little over 3 years ago I was taken from my home while drunk and seriously depressed. It was the occasion of 1 year since my Fathers Passing. After being taken to the Hospital by a 1 Deputy, my Wife was asked by another about removing guns from the house. She responded in the negative reasoning that I wasn't here, how could I get my hands on any of them. From the hospital I was voluntarily transferred to a Detox facility. I have determined that I will never again do something that requires that I go through Detox again, worst experience of my life, bar none. After completing Detox I went into therapy. I was again living at home, but my wife had made any handguns in the house unavailable to me. As part of therapy I had to attend AA meetings. I received my 3 year coin a week ago. TN Handgun law states that court ordered detox and therapy is a 10 year revocation of carry permits, while voluntary detox is 3 year. Last month I went and applied to be reinstated and told it could take up to 90 days to get a reply. Here's the Celebration part; I got my new Carry Permit in yesterday's USPS mail delivery. For those that have wondered why I pay attention to 2nd Amendment news and share it so widely, here is the main reason. I was denied my 2A Right to Carry for 3 years. In that time frame I have not left the house very often. I live in a small primarily rural community with an interstate highway running through it. We've had probably more than our share of bad people come through because of that highway, in fact we've made national news on several occasions in recent years. Being able to carry once again calms my mind.

P.S. Riding in the back of a cop car in Handcuffs is something I'd like to avoid in the future also.
