What award, badge, or doodad are you most proud of?

Of all the things I have done, the things that meant the most to me were just plain old genuine heartfelt "Thank You"s... with nothing more than a pat on the back. But, if I have to pick a uniform item, it would be my Ranger Tab, as it is so hard to get, and because several folks said I wouldn't make it, and I did... And, with no recycles. I ended up, through shear luck, being the honor graduate of my class 12-85.

Wow! Congratulations to all that have earned the Distinguished rifle or pistol award. That recognizes years of committed training and effort to obtain a level very few military and civilian ever achieve.
I'm extremely pround of the recognition my team and I received in 1982 at both the 101st Airborne Division, FT Campbell, KY and the 18th Airborne Corps, FT Bragg, NC FY83 Service Rifle competitions. Our team from the 5th Trans. BN (AVIM) team placed second at both matches and I placed second at 200 yards at both as well. The looks and remarks we received by besting all but two of the Infantry teams was priceless. Yeah, even we aircraft maintenance poges can shoot.

I got the Navy Pistol Sharpshooter. I was surprised because I never used a pistol that much. Rifle, shotguns, yes. I think I owe it all to my USMC trainer in Bahrain (for ASF).
