Which military post offers the best bass fishing?

There is good fishing in the streams in the training area on Ft. Drum.

FT Benning on the Chattahoochee River and Lake Oliver some of the best Bass fishing of my life!

There's no base nearby but the best bass fishing in the world is on the St. Johns river in Palatka, Florida (some call it east Palatka). Enjoy!!

I fish there as a kid and there’s plenty of fish, cannot say we fought off gators! Well I’m a Bulldog so on the other hand yes and we beat them! Lol

I fished for the Bass in Ft. Stewart in 1980 and 81, it was very common to pull a 7-9 pound'er out daily. I fished everyday I was there. Best Bass fishing spot around those neck of the woods.

The lake bass at Ft Stewart are usually pretty hungry and good for a quick strike - haven't pulled anything of great size out yet but my fishin' is usually pretty low keyed and just enjoying the solitude of the back woods of Ft Stewart. I have found the mosquitos more bothersome than the gators though.

Good Ol Tolendo Bend

Took Basic there in 65-66. D-1-5 at North Fort. Tigerland was in full gear and even though I did my AIT at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, I never once saw a pool of water that fish lived in. Camp Roberts in CA. offered great Trout and Catfish but the Bass were at what was HLMR at that time and now is Fort Hunter Ligget, CA. There were some monsters in some of the ponds, easily over 10+ pounds. As for today, couldn't say, that was from 9/68 to 6/70.
