Last night's Democratic debate did not discuss what they all have in common, the obsession to put some kind of green New Deal or even a watered-down version of it with carbon taxes. Canada is 5 years ahead of them. Some provinces in Canada are socialistic and don't care, while other three provinces are taking Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau to the Canadian Supreme Court because the Federal- imposed carbon taxes are considered an infringement on the provincial rights.
In the last year, Ontario and Alberta elected conservative governors and discontinued their carbon taxes. I'm probably going to save $180 this winter in unnecessary taxes on my natural gas. I'm saving $0.25 a gallon on gasoline right now( The new Alberta Governor kept his campaign promise and the first order of business in June,2019 was to kill the carbon tax in defiance of Prime Minister Trudeau). Prime minister Trudeau wants to quadruple carbon taxes by 2022. Can you imagine paying $1 more on a gallon of gas and $120 amonth additional on my natural gas when its below freezing to -30 F (Oct/Nov to Mar/Apr) all to not mitigate the 'Climate Emergency' ?
The USA has a comparative advantage because most states don't have carbon taxes except for California and possibly Washington State. I am the canary in the coal mine telling you what it's happening up here is 5 years is way ahead what the foolishly Progressive Democrats running for president are pushing now.
You may hate me for it but you will thank me later! I will not drive less nor turn my thermostat down to 50 degrees F to save the world! Also, Ontario got rid of its cap and trade. What's ironic, is that Canada has almost no Navy and they have F-18 Hornets of the alpha/ bravo model. They have no money to buy new ships or jet fighters but they have $214 million dollars they gave to nations in the Caribbean to help them convert to solar and other forms of energy to help the third world countries mitigate climate change.
Your tax dollars should not be used to subsidize other countries pork barrel spending. We are in between ice ages. No matter what we do, the earth will continue to warm. I am not a climate denier at all. I am a climate realist that thinks all these taxes and levies are a scam or folly.

Not to understate this, but $1000/year in carbon taxes is far less than these YOLOs running for President are contemplating.

LTC (Join to see) Our biggest problem is --None of the fanatics pay attention until it bites them in the ass,by then it is already in place and the situation will be the same as Canada has now.Too many people believe in the scare tactics of the far left as facts.

I was wrong, its $223 million!
Canada lost 3 major ships to rust yet they have money to give away to corrupt Latin America and the Caribbean. Democrats in power will do what Canadian Liberals are doing now if they win in 2020.
