Arizona Democrat Says No to Party’s $3.5 Trillion Budget Reconciliation
From Senator Kyrsten Sinema: “I have also made clear that while I will support beginning this process, I do not support a bill that costs $3.5 trillion — and in the coming months, I will work in good faith to develop this legislation with my colleagues and the administration to strengthen Arizona’s economy and help Arizona’s everyday families get ahead” (Townhall). https://townhall.com/tipsheet/reaganmccarthy/2021/07/28/sinema-a-no-on-35-n2593250
From another story: House progressives immediately criticized Sinema, a frequent target of liberal ire, arguing that she could undercut Biden’s package. “Good luck tanking your own party’s investment on childcare, climate action, and infrastructure while presuming you’ll survive a 3 vote House margin – especially after choosing to exclude members of color from negotiations and calling that a ‘bipartisan accomplishment,’” tweeted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) (The Hill). Meanwhile, inflation is here and Fed chairman Jerome Powell finally conceded this point (WSJ).https://www.wsj.com/articles/federal-reserve-jerome-powell-inflation-forecast-miss-consumer-price-index [login to see] 3?mod=opinion_lead_pos1
From Tom Cotton: This has been obvious for months. So why has Biden been working so hard to make inflation even worse with trillions in new spending? (Twitter).

Good for her. A piece of sanity from a Democrat is refreshing.

They will run her off too, just like they are trying to do with Manchin. I'm still surprised Tulsi Gabbard hasn't switched parties after they attacked her.

Cpl (Join to see) Just haven't gotten around to it. I was always pondering why Tulsi was even a Democrat but she is a moderate so might be waiting to pick up the pieces after this administration's debacles.
