So a few days ago I posted that I had contracted Covid-19. I'm happy to say I'm well on the way to recovery and have been symptom free for over eight days.

I guess being quarantined at the house wasn't all bad. It gave me time to do some research and look at options for purchasing a camper or toy hauler. I lucked into this one at a local dealer. I had actually looked at it several weeks ago before becoming sick. The price was right; the options were right; and it was still available. I saw that as a sign it was meant to be. I haven't been camping in several years and I'm looking forward to enjoying a pastime I used to do fairly regular.

What are your ideal camping trips? I enjoy just sitting around a small fire, roasting a hot dog/marshmallow, and consuming cold beverages.

I love being close to the woods around a fire.

We try to go every weekend from April to October. We have a perm.spot outside Hannibal, Mo for our 40ft and have an older 20ft Jayco for when we go exploring. My adult kids love to get together around the fire pit for cookout or just a family get together, love it!

I drove Over The Road trucking for a few months last year. I passed through MO quite often as we had a terminal in Phillipsburg. I saw a lot of beautiful countryside in the area. If/when I ever get the time and money, I'd like to take a two week vacation and travel through the western part of the US. Missouri is definitely on my list of places I want to visit!

That's great, MSgt Steven Holt, NRP, CCEMT-P!! Too many people think its a joke and I understand that everyone is entitled to believe what they want. But this virus is no joke and its real. Whatever thought you follow is up to you but I wish you all the best going forward and many happy times in your new camper. I, too, have been contemplating purchasing one but that I can drive so I can take it with me anywhere. My problem is that going back overseas has been calling me more than being here in the US. I'm very anxious to see how much Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, have changed since my last time there in '82 when I left. But with travelers from the US being banned from going over there right now not sure when that will happen if at all. Again, all the best to you and good luck on your adventures!!

I can relate to that. I've often wanted to return to Japan, Germany, and England just to see how much I remember and what had changed since I was there. Maybe some day....

MSgt Steven Holt, NRP, CCEMT-P - if the state doesn't call me back for a job I was hired for but didn't get to start because of this virus I'll sell the house and go overseas....
